Coquina Beach Bike Path

The Coquina Beach Bike Path is one of the best places to ride your bike in Anna Maria Island. The path starts in Bradenton Beach and continues north to Cortez Beach. As you cycle, you’ll have a stunning view of the beaches and the wildlife that calls them home, including native birds like ospreys and blue herons. Look up and you may even spot an eagle! 

Paths are paved for your convenience, making it easy and safe to ride no matter your age or skill level. There are plenty of shops and restaurants along the way, so you could spend several hours cycling along the path and exploring the best the island has to offer.

Bradenton Beach Bike Path

Throughout Bradenton Beach, there is a multi-modal path that mainly tracks down Gulf Drive and meets with the Longboat Pass Bridge. Pedestrians and cyclists are both welcome along this stretch, so there’s plenty of room for everyone. In total, the city of Bradenton Beach boasts five miles of bike paths that connect with more than 50 similar lanes across Anna Maria Island! Lake Manatee State Park

Head to mainland Bradenton to cycle in Lake Manatee State Park. There are 2.5 miles of paved interior road that the whole family can enjoy biking on. You’ll be transported through pinewood flats, the shores of Lake Manatee, Sand Pine Scrub, and the loops of the campgrounds. If you’re looking for something more adventurous, you’ll find 2.34 more miles of off-road cycling as well, allowing you a closer look at the native plant and animal life.

Robinson Preserve

Also in Bradenton is Robinson Preserve, where you’ll find 682 acres of preserved mangrove, tidal marsh, and former agricultural lands. The preserve has recently undergone an expansion to include additional coastal wetlands, giving you an even better view of the incredible nature Florida has to offer. There are 2.5 miles of paved trail for you to bike on, and you can also explore 5 miles of hiking trails!
