At Sarasota Bradenton, all of the car rentals are located in the baggage claim wing and the cars themselves are just a short walk across the street. Choose to rent from companies like Avis, Enterprise, and Hertz. Dropping the car off after your rental is just as easy.

Main Roads

There are a few different ways you can access Anna Maria Island houses for rent and start your beautiful vacation getaway. So hop in your rental car and hit the road. If you’re driving in from the Sarasota Bradenton Airport there are a few different options. It will generally take you about 45 minutes depending on traffic to travel from this airport to Anna Maria Island. Traveling north from the airport, you can go through Bradenton Beach by way of Rt-684 and link up with the island’s main road of Rt-789. You can also head a little further north and take Rt-64 directly into Holmes Beach.

You can also head south from the Sarasota Bradenton Airport. If you pick this option, you can then take Rt-789 over to St. Armands and follow it all the way north through Longboat Key, Bradenton Beach, and Holmes Beach. This path will take you much longer than the other options but can give you a beautiful look at this part of Florida if you have the time to spend.

If you’re coming down from the Tampa Airport, you’ll likely want to take the quickest route into Anna Maria Island, which would be on Rt-64. The bigger question here is which way to take down from the airport. This trip will likely take you a little more than an hour regardless of which way you travel. From the airport, you can choose to follow I-275 south through St. Petersburg and then down to Anna Maria Island, or you can take I-75 a little further east down to eventually connect with Rt-64.

Depending on where your vacation rental is located will likely advise which route you should take in.
